Good for tracking goals

Used Coda for a Goal Tracker. Easy to set up. Interface is clean. Got what I needed done quickly. No issues.

Easy to get started

Just tried out Coda for some meeting notes. It was super easy to pull up a template and get going. Didn't even need to watch a tutorial. I liked how it kept everything organized. It just felt natural to use.

Good for projects, some learning curve

I used Coda for a new project management setup. The Kanban Boards worked well for tracking tasks, and the Coda Automations saved us some time. Delivery was instant since it's software, which is great. I did find the initial setup of some formulas a bit tricky; it took some experimenting to get them right. Overall, it's a solid tool, but be prepared to spend a little time learning the ropes.

Comprehensive tool, minor hiccups

I recently migrated our team's knowledge base over to Coda, using their Coda Templates as a starting point. The ordering process was straightforward; I just selected the Team plan and got access immediately. I found the Coda AI feature surprisingly helpful for drafting summaries. Delivery, being a digital service, was instant. Customer support responded within a day when I had a question about integrating a specific Coda Pack. The quality of the interface is high, very clean. My only minor gripe is that sometimes loading complex docs with many Coda Charts can be a little slow, but it's not a deal-breaker. It's a powerful platform that really does bring a lot of functionality into one place.

Reliable as always

This is my third time using Coda for different team needs. This round I set up a Coda Project Management doc for a new initiative. As usual, it was consistent. The Coda Formulas are reliable, and I appreciate that the interface hasn't changed drastically, so it's easy to jump back in. I keep coming back because it just works for consolidating so many different tasks. It's my go-to for new projects now.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime without getting charged for the next month or is there a lock-in period?

W Wendy 3 weeks ago
You can cancel whenever, it just means you don't get charged again. No hidden fees or anything.

No lock-in periods afaik. If you cancel mid-month, you still get to use it until the end of that billing cycle, but won't be charged for the next. Pretty straightforward.

Thinking of switching from Notion. Is Coda really that much better, or just different?

A Alex 2 weeks ago
I moved my team's project management stuff from Notion to Coda last year and honestly, it's a huge step up for automations. The docs feel more alive.

It really depends what you use Notion for. For just basic notes, maybe not a huge difference. But if you're building complex workflows or using databases a lot, Coda's formulas and packs are way more powerful, imo.

hey, trying to figure out if there's a way to get a discount for my small startup. we're just getting off the ground.

A Amber 3 weeks ago
I think they have a specific startup discount program you can apply for. Check their site, it's usually under 'pricing' or 'discounts'.

Yeah, I heard about that. Pretty sure it's an application process though, not just a public code. Good luck!

Is there a free trial for the paid features or just a free tier that's super limited?

E Elena 4 weeks ago
Yeah, there's a free tier that's pretty good for personal use. For the Pro stuff, you usually gotta pay.

R Ryan 3 weeks ago
They have a free tier that actually lets you do quite a bit. You can build docs, tables, etc., but some of the more advanced packs and automations are locked behind Pro. I think sometimes they offer trials for teams, but not always a blanket free trial for all pro features.

How do Coda referral credits work? If I refer someone, do I get cash or just credit for my account?

N Nick 2 weeks ago
You get credits for your account, not actual cash. It applies to your subscription.

A Andre W. 2 weeks ago
It's account credit. So it'll reduce what you owe for your next billing cycle or add time to your subscription depending on how you're set up. Pretty standard for these kinds of services.
